Lancôme and Elle Decor Italia have selected the winner of the first edition of the Lancôme Design Award, for which ten young designers aged under 35 were invited to interpret the power of the gaze, in celebration of the 10 year anniversary of Lancôme’s Hypnôse mascara. The winner is Lou, a brass table mirror designed by German designer Florian Schmid. Lou’s base interprets the concept of hypnosis through the movement of the table’s undulated support. The front is polished to a mirror finish, and slightly inclined to help with the application of make-up, while the back is satin finished.
